Lemon Shrimp Pasta with Herbs

Quick cooked shrimp blasted with lemon juice, wine and herbs for a simple skillet sauce. Pasta can be cooked while the sauce simmers. Toss together in the skillet and serve.

Serves 4

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces Luxury Angel Hair, cooked at the last minute
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
  • 20 shrimp, each peeled and deveined, split in half lengthwise
  • 1 cup seasoned flour, seasoned with salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoon fresh herbs chopped fine basil, rosemary, marjoram and parsley
  • 2 ounces white zinfandel
  • 1 ounce sherry
  • 5 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Romano cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
    1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
    2. Heat the oil in medium skillet.
    3. Toss shrimp in seasoned flour, shake off excess flour.
    4. Add shrimp to the hot skillet, cook until the shrimp lightly browns then turn shrimp over. Add the garlic to the middle of the pan. When garlic starts to cook, squeeze the lemon over the garlic. 5. Sprinkle with fresh herbs, then add the wines and reduce by 1/2.
    5. Add the Worcestershire sauce and the heavy cream. Add the cheeses and pasta, simmer until the sauce lightly coats the pasta.
    6. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with additional cheese on the side.
